My Story in a Nutshell

I’ve always loved languages and the way they connect people. Growing up in Mexico, I was surrounded by the beauty of Spanish — its rhythm, warmth, and expression. My passion for communication led me to study International Relations at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, where I developed a deep understanding of intercultural communication, global perspectives, and the nuances of human interaction across cultures.

These studies not only strengthened my command of the Spanish language but also equipped me with valuable insights into how culture, context, and diplomacy shape communication — lessons I now bring into my teaching.

I also speak English fluently and a bit of French, and after living and working in Montreal, Canada for five years, I experienced firsthand the challenges and joys of learning another language. That experience shaped my approach as a tutor: empathetic, structured, and focused on real-world connection.

With me, you’ll learn Spanish in an authentic and dynamic way, always tailored to your goals and interests. Along the way, we’ll explore the richness of Latin American culture, so you can connect more deeply with the language and its people.

Outside of teaching, I love caring for my dogs, tending to my plants and garden, and painting. These moments bring me balance, creativity, and energy — qualities I bring to every class I teach.

My Teaching Philosophy & Approach

A practical, cultural, and confidence-based approach to learning Spanish.

I believe learning Spanish should be meaningful and enjoyable. That’s why every lesson is tailored to you—your interests, goals, and learning pace. We’ll focus on real conversation and authentic materials that make Spanish come alive, not just memorizing rules.

My goal is for you to speak Spanish naturally and confidently, while also exploring the rich and exciting cultures behind the language.

What Does a Private Lesson Look Like? 💻

A private lesson is a one-on-one session with me via Google Meet. Each class is fully customized to your level and needs, helping you develop the four key language skills: speaking, writing, reading, and listening.

How it Works:

Your first session will be a diagnostic class to assess your Spanish level, strengths, and goals. If there’s a specific topic or skill you want to focus on, we’ll tailor lessons around it.

After each class, you’ll receive materials, exercises, and homework to reinforce what you’ve learned and keep making progress between sessions.
